WRITER
Who Am I?
I’m an LA-based screenwriter, playwright, podcast writer, and copywriter.
Basically, I do words.
My first feature script, Suck It Up, premiered at Slamdance in Park City in 2017, and won Best Feature Film at Screen Novia Scotia Awards and B3 Biennale of The Moving Image. I was writer’s assistant to Oscar-winning screenwriter/director/producer Bobby Moresco (Crash, Million Dollar Baby) for over eight years. I adapted the memoir “Everything I Never Wanted To Be” with the author, Dina Kucera, into a feature script. The project is currently in casting, with Moresco directing, produced by Jonathan Sanger and Lesley Ann Warren. I also have experience as a screenplay ghostwriter, but, like any good ghost, I cannot elaborate further.
For the stage, I assistant directed Colin Quinn’s off-Broadway one-man show “Red State Blue State” at the Minetta Lane Theater in NYC. My original play “Rant” had its world premiere at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hollywood, in February of 2019, and was most recently produced at The Sherry Theater in Los Angeles in the fall of 2023. I’ve taught college-level writing workshops on scene analysis and the composition of the monologue.
I was a contributor to the podcast “Call Her Daddy”. I wrote and developed short-form vertical sports documentary content for SnapChat channels SuperHuman, Maxed, and Unbreakable. I’ve copywritten for various brands from fitness companies to real estate agencies. And, I’ve crushed a wedding speech on more than one occasion.
I was born and raised in the Napa Valley, and currently reside in Los Angeles. Special skills include but are not limited to: script coverage, script doctoring, editing, joke writing, Mailchimp, crossword puzzles (NYT level Thursday since you asked), basketball.
When I’m not writing, you can find me doing stand-up in and around the L.A. area.
